Chill Factore is the UK's longest indoor ski slope; a £31M real snow centre located in the Trafford Park area of Manchester, United Kingdom. Designed by (Faulknerbrowns Architects ) the centre opened in November 2007〔(Chillfactore opens tomorrow :D (16th) - HEXUS.community discussion forums )〕 at which time it was the widest in the world, at long and wide at its widest point. It is currently the longest indoor ski slope in the UK. In 2011, the Guinness world record for longest chain of skiers to travel 100m without breaking, was recorded at Chill factore.〔http://www.chillfactore.com/events/news/news-chill-factore-break-world-record〕 Chill Factore had been open since 2007 where the snow was white and the staff was happy getting paid to entertain the guest and have a laugh as it was to be fun and enjoyment i making everyone happy from guests to tenants it was a happy place to work if some one didn't know about race events or what guests where saying while on activities they would ask the staff for the best way to make it even better for the paying customer as its not a cheap day out sadly the ceo left and a ape from a theme park taken over and make chill Factore the place to visit or they want it to be number 1 place to visit for a day out Don't know what there smoking as its like dfs always in sale she started to call the shots and things started to go down hill as the wage of the staff declined to minimum wage and the snow conditions got grottier they started to look more at getting more people in and not look after the regulars who keep turning up week in week out paying for monthly/ year passes ect Then down stairs we have two big snow monkeys sat in a small office behind rentals where you hire your skis and boards from trying to be top dogs but while hiring 16 year old because it's cheap on minimum wage and the older guys are on a salary £1003 a month with no over time just time back it's a dead end job and can take the fun out of a sport who millions of people love and would love to work at chill Factore one of the big monkeys from down stairs with his strange looks dark hair and is more sly then A drug dealer he would pull you up for anything you have done wrong but will never say thank you for good behavior He also has been known to snort the white stuff not the stuff in the fridge if you know what I mean He buys new equipment and hordes it in the back of the chill under the slope until the boots are broken and not be repaired so the guest gets the worst equipment Minimum paid of snow crew Look after guests Stand in a fridge -2 for 2 hours ( or as long as they want you to because they hire unreliable people to show up ) Get moaned at by guests and expected to sort it Deal with safety equipment like fitting skis snowboards ( skis are very dangerous and if set wrong your legs could be broken or you could come out of its set too low ) give hermits out they aren't tested and only thrown away of the clips are broken still then we try and fix and give them out First aides are expected to pay for there own certificates and don't get any extra pay for dealing with your accidents on the slope Where meant to spray the equipment with spray it never gets done or only when where quite But the tall monkey blond hair is alright he sits in the office and likes to get new equipment out and use things and does like to look after guests The place seems a great place to work but you will be put under more pressure and get made to take more responsibility then your role takes your never valued and always disrespected by the management Health and safety would shut the place down but they pay some company off to say it's safe == Slope facilities == The main slope is served by two drag lifts,〔http://www.chillfactore.com/html/snowactivities/skiing_snowboarding.asp〕 suspended from the ceiling thus widening the available piste area and allowing for easier maintenance of the slope. This differs from the other centres in the UK where the lift supports are on the piste. In addition to the main slope, the centre features a beginner slope, a luge track, and dedicated snowplay and tubing areas.
